ARE YOU READY? With health conditions like obesity making the headlines almost daily, the goal of Take It Off Hawaiʻi is to support positive lifestyle change.

The program, in its 3rd year in North Hawaiʻi, encourages the adoption of healthy behaviors during a 10-week program period (Saturday, August 27th – Sunday, Nov. 5) with the hope that these new habits (eating choices, exercise, stress resilience, and sustainable living practices) will become a part of your everyday life.

Teams consist of 4-10 members, each earning “lifestyle points” while simultaneously improving their health and overall sense of well-being. It is well-known that people do better when making these kinds of changes with group support.

Volunteer health care providers will assist at registration/sign-up locations throughout North Hawaiʻi.

Participation is free and includes valuable tips/tools from our nutrition consultant, Ms. Vivienne Aronowitz, M.P.H., R.D.

Take It Off Hawaiʻi is one of several programs offered by Five Mountains Hawaiʻi, Building a Healthy Island Community.

* We welcome island-wide participation but please note that all programs/events for Take It Off Hawaiʻi (Fall 2010) will take place in North Hawaiʻi. Mahalo.
