Sun Safety

When you’re outside, protect your skin from the sun’s ultraviolet rays (UV) rays. Shirts, hats, and sunscreen protect your skin from UV rays.

Always, SLIP! SLOP! SLAP! WRAP!
Slip! on a shirt. Protect your skin with clothing.
Slop! on sunscreen. Use sunscreen with a protection factor of 35 or higher.
Slap! on a hat. Wear a hat with a wide brim. Your ears, neck, and face get a lot of sun.
Wrap! Protect your eyes – wear sunglasses.

And don’t forget … be sure to put on more sunscreen if you sweat, swim, or dry off with a towel.
